ISS Telemetry Data Problems:
The Telemetry site is currently not being updated with the real time temperature and carbon dioxide levels from the ISS (January 2019 forward). This change of operations of the Telemetry site is unexpected and totally beyond our control. Let's Talk Science suggests that groups record the data posted on the Telemetry site as it appears, even if it is the same ISS data as the last time you visited. While we are working towards a more permanent solution that does not depend on outside 3rd parties, consider the following background and the values that we recommend that you record for the ISS.
The ISS is a very stable and well controlled environment and does not actually vary much in temperature, CO2, and RH readings. Note that the ISS Humidity is not posted on the Telemetry site at all. The data analysis activity will not be significantly affected by this lack of updating of the ISS. Here is a screenshot of the suggested values to use (Temp - 22 C, Co2 - 2.9mmHg). Note as well as the suggested relative humidity value of 46% (note the explanation of the Relative Humidity on the ISS and in the Classroom).
